Collecting my first Motor Home on Thursday.
We are planning to take our M.H. to Spain on the Ferry at the end of May and I have noticed some of you are asking if others have discount codes they can pass over. This is our first ferry trip with our motor home and wondered what advice any of you may have in respect to getting the best deals or other information, i.e. best day/time/port to use, how to get and use discount codes, or any other tips that can help us make the most of our crossings.
Loving motor home fun by the way.:giggle:

There are plenty of folk on here that will help with a discount code. It's straightforward to use it during the BF booking process. I believe the discount is only applied to the ferry fare and not any onboard accommodation you choose.

And it looks as though 100brian has already sent you one. :giggle:

Other than that, it's a case of researching on the website what the most competitive dates to book are.

Good luck and have a great trip in any case. (y)

If you are in the ccc you could try a quote from them

You can, Caravan Club is usually better.

If you use a Members code, the Member get £10 per booking to a maximum of 15 bookings.

So if anyone wants to use mine, making two separate bookings (Works Better for some) I get £20. User gets 10% off passenger and vehicle fare, not cabins.

You can use the discount on French or Spanish crossings. 10% for Guests.

Members Get 30% off fares of their chosen Club De Voyage. So if you a member of French Club, you get 30% off French Sailings but only 10% off Spanish trips. Club De Voyage Spain Members get the 30% off Spanish Crossings and 15% off French Ones.

Club De Voyage France is £75 Joining Fee and £75 annual fee
Club De Voyage Spain is £105 Joining Fee and £125 Annual Fee

If you intend to make more than one booking per year. Maybe an advantage for you to join.

I hop this helps?

Am I right in thinking the going rate for a ferry one way from Spain to England is around £300 and something?

Oh wow, think ill prefer to drive it then.

I did the ferry a few times with a motorbike but the cost with a motorhome seems very high. Unless there is a time constraint I prefer to drive, especially as we normally go to the south of Spain which is a 2 day drive from the ports anyway.
