we have just taken delivery of a great map book which also shows Motorhome Aires and campsites. At the top of each page is a pic of a Motorhome and a tent with the legend for each in so on your map page you can see at a glance exactly where the aire or campsite is and also what it offers. Then in the back are the details of each with coordinates.

It also has stars next to place names. 3 star for must visit, 2 star for worth a detour and 1 star for interesting.

The added bonus, is that Michelin Maps list road widths that is handy for people like me who plot their own routes, then load them into their chosen satnav.

Where did you get it ???? Xx

Do they do one for Spain as well ?? Xx

We got it from eBay. Think it was around £14.50.

We’ve been looking out for a Spain one but not found one yet. X

Apparently only some of the Aires are listed according to user reviews on Amazon. Think I'll stick to the apps.

to be fair, as its a printed book, its only ever going to be 'in date' the day it is printed. apps are great as they are updated frequently by people who use the locations, so you do know more about the aire.

however, I wouldn't be without my all the aires books, if only to help with planning, which the French camping car atlas could also do

Also do a Europe book £20

It’s easy to understand as it’s all in symbols. The written bits are easy to work out (mainly just bits in the back about each aire ie any days or months that have restrictions. Most of the words there are easily interpreted.). My hubby only knows about 3 words in French and can understand it.

We found it in WH Smith. It's very good, especially as a road map (we like Michelin for that) but not as comprehensive as other publications for aires etc.
