Hi. I have a connection on van to allow direct connection of a gas BBQ. Can anyone recommend a small gas BBQ that’s tried and tested or any to stay clear of. Happy vanning.

I also have a Cadac Safari and am pleased with it. I only have a pvc therefore storage was a consideration.

Steer clear of Cadac. IMO they are dangerous. Read reviews.
My preference would be a Weber BabyQ with a thermostat. Proper barbecue cooking and easy to keep clean. However, they are quite heavy and expensive.

OP was asking for recommendations for gas bbq to run off his van gas thru fitted gas point.
Is the Weber Baby Q not run from its own disposable gas canister....or is it possible to adapt to plug into van ????

We have just bought a Cadac Grillochef and its great. Added a quick release fitting together with a 3m hose. It works well for the two of us.

I think the Weber Q1200 is the same as a Baby Q. Possibly renamed for the down-under market. We run ours off the outside gas point.
See if this link works.

I just cut the hose and fitted a plug in connection on it so I can run off the van or still use the little canister.
