Forgot to drop the leg on my fiamma awning and it filled with water. Luckily i got to it before it collapsed. Now it wont lock back in the cassette. Any ideas for repairs in northwest we are off to France a week tomorrow.

A bit more detail on what "won't lock back in the cassette" means or even better a photo or two.
Are we talking about the leg not locking into the cassette or the canopy and lead-bar not locking into the cassette.

The lead bar wont lock in the cassette.
Top lefthand side opposite side to the winder which is on the righthand side

If you look on utube there are videos on how to retension it I'd try that as a first step

Well that looked useful and straightforward, next video, Elf and Safety, not standing on a collapsible chair to make the adjustment?

Some of us like to live on the edge a bit rather than follow the mundane grow old slowly way of life. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

In my Avatar, that's me and Mrs BBF , in the front seat of the Raft, having just dropped over a 7mt water fall, the highest commercially navigated drop in the world, Tutea Falls. on the Rangitaiki River North Island New Zealand. ;)

I'd so love to read the head raft guide's risk assessment on that !

Cheers

I think they cautioned, "you may get wet"
Mike.

You could also try loosening the 2 nuts on the shock absorbers, my awning was very noisy and didn’t always go back, loosened nut a little and it’s fine now.

Are awnings easy to take apart and replace bits? my Fiamma F55 winding mechanism is starting to wear.
