Just to warn owners of new model Auto Trails (Mine is 2016) my Thule step suddenly stopped working. When I used the remote control to lock or unlock the motorhome I could hear the step motor operate but the step just stayed down. It wouldn't retract either. It turned out that the main shaft had snapped in half. Must be a dodgy batch because AutoTrail customer service seemed to know about the problem. It was fixed under warranty and required a new shaft and a couple of other ancillary bits.
