Great news this morning!

Now open for bookings.

You need to book before the end of November to make sure they have the pitches mentioned below.
If you leave it until after November they can't guarantee that we you will be with the group.
To make this work they have to ascertain what pitch type you want and make sure that you book that pitch type with Red Funnel,otherwise we won't be together.

We can have the following.

1.'Standard grass with EHU' ( up to 15 to choose from).
2.Grass with a shared water point between 2 pitches( Up to 10 of these to choose from)
3.'All grass fully serviced pitches' ( up to 3 of these to choose from)
4.'Hard standing fully serviced pitches'( up to 7 to choose from).

Go to Red Funnel website( Isle of Wight Touring &Camping packages.Scroll down and click on Appuldurcombe Gardens.Click the book button and the pitch options will appear.
In the special requests box please add MOTORHOME FUN RALLY, UK / Continental opening side of door and dogs if you have them.This is to help the girls and guys in the booking office otherwise they have to call you back.
If you have any issues with the online booking as it has been temperamental then I suggest you contact the lovely Vivien and her staff at Red Funnel who have been very helpful.

Sorry, still a tad confused. I’ve been on the website and started a booking. I selected grass pitch, a ferry each way etc etc.

Do I now phone up? Is there a discount code or anything I need to use, or is this rally just at a standard price? If I select a grass pitch and another funster a fully serviced hard standing, how do we end up grouped together?

This one is under Rally Chat, the other is under Rally which I’d assume is where we need to book. However, if Kim is organising the rally, I would have expected to see some guide prices alongside the various pitches that have been mentioned.

I've just been speaking to the manager at Appuldurcombe
It's going to be difficult to know what pitches everyone has booked but she will receive an email telling her
She's saying don't book blue area on site map
All those pitches I put in the message are in the one field.
Have a look on their site map.
She's contacting red Funnel now informing them of the rally going ahead.

£145.75 cheapest for 5 nights at the site. Still trying to get my head round the Red Funnel pricing, have ended up with 3 differing prices using same details. Lost the will to live today will try again tomorrow and see if a Black Friday deal is any better than £197.44.

It was first come first served with the pitches the grass with ehu seem to have all gone only pricerones left you cannot get the ferry discount until you book the site

Only 5 have booked so far with the site.
Yes you book you're pitch first then you get the discounted ferry fare.
I've sent Red Funnel an email asking them to explain as I was told if we book by the end of November we get this year's rates.
Will keep everyone informed.

Had a second go today, gave up rang Red Funnel, plenty of erm ahs and then a I don't know just book it and one of the team will call you back. I have registered a pitch and maybe ferries booked, I still await the call.

I managed to book today, but it’s not easy, several goes before I managed it, almost gave up.

This May help

1. Go to Redfunnel web site
2. Select Book from top, (Red display)
3. Select Camping and Touring
4.Select. Appuldurcombe
5 Select Book, then availability
6.Select Dates, we are staying 10 nights
7. Select Pitch type and add to booking
8 At bottom of page , blue boxes, Select Add Ferry Travel
9 Put in Van details book ferry and continue
10. Select crossing, add to basket,
11 .Continue to checkout

Payment in full required.

SIMPLE. Not.

Added then comes up at £257.00.
Ferry 78.25 each way £156.50.
Will give this one a miss.

Gave up waiting so rang Red Funnel again on 019830681337, spoke with Andrea who went through the booking while on the phone and came to the same price as me, then she had a light bulb moment and found the discounted ferry price which also reduced the campsite cost, all sorted now.

TIP just call Red Funnel and ignore the web page booking!

£125 grass pitch EHU for 5 nights (dog free on this group booking).
£105.50 return ferry. Picked peak price crossings can get it lower.
