Have a look at LV breakdown, second to none , can't fault them, got us off a french motorway , found us hotels and flights home and the works even got us stuff we never asked for.Looking at eurobreakdown.com for 4.25 tonne breakdown cover, they do it but I have not heard of them before. Funny, even at the new inflated rate for NW flex (we have), I was going to suggest it was probably cheaper than the one the op was asking about.I couldn't get the t&c's to work but the quote was twice what Nationwide Flex want for the cover I have
If I move to Nationwide Flex it’s £216 per year and includes travel Insurance so yes it’s a better option.I couldn't get the t&c's to work but the quote was twice what Nationwide Flex want for the cover I have
I recently opened a Nationwide Flex account for the travel insurance, but haven't changed accounts, I'm just going to make sure I have at least £18 a month in the account to cover the monthly fee.If I move to Nationwide Flex it’s £216 per year and includes travel Insurance so yes it’s a better option.
I was not considering changing bank accounts at first, but it looks like it might be a better option.
My main concern was getting cover with a reputable company that will actually look after me if I break down abroad so prior experience is very useful
Interesting I have their credit card for use abroad and they’re offering £175 to move current accounts which is very temptingI recently opened a Nationwide Flex account for the travel insurance, but haven't changed accounts, I'm just going to make sure I have at least £18 a month in the account to cover the monthly fee.

Very easy to open a basic account elsewhere and move/set-up a couple of dds if that's what's needed, then switch it to NW. Done it loads of times with banks for years that way my main account remains where it is but I get the switching perk.Interesting I have their credit card for use abroad and they’re offering £175 to move current accounts which is very tempting
Yes we have used them , they started organising hotel cover for us before they even turned up to assist breakdown ,Have a look at LV breakdown, second to none , can't fault them, got us off a french motorway , found us hotels and flights home and the works even got us stuff we never asked for.
Yes we had exactly the same, never having used breakdown before and having read all the bad stories we were expecting the worse, but we had a hotel for nearly a week , taxis, car hire , flights home and back again when the van was done without any sign of excuses or anything, they even found us stuff we would never of thought of asking for.Yes we have used them , they started organising hotel cover for us before they even turned up to assist breakdown ,
just incase they couldn’t get us back on road , we had a St Bernard with us
so was trying to finding hotel suitable for dog as well ,
Luckily for us it was a simple fix ,
Found them extremely efficient and professional.
Shame..got me going there BUT 80 next July so will be staying with good old NationwideInstead of Nationwide, have a look at the Co-op bank packaged bank account. You are limited to 3,500kg, length 5.5m and heigh 3m which may be too small for most people. Their travel insurance looks better than Nationwide covering you up to 79.
