Have already directly replaced some of the other bulbs in the MH but these oddballs aren't as simple

Can make something up as got a load of warm white led strips spare but before I do has anyone found a better replacement

I believe that is a fluorescent bulb, I took out similar in mine, you must also take out the power supply part, then attach standard led strip to incoming 12V

We haven’t been able to sort one of ours as it has a dimmer, not sure what the switch would do jf we changed that unit

slightly off post but I have just had an email from Euro car parts re . Headlamp bulbs special offer from Osram
Night breaker one of which was a headlamp bulb retailing at £151.99 .

Yeh was going to rip the ballast out and wire it direct.
Found some mains ones but not these, probably pricey anyway. These take too long to warm up and output isn't great

Think as I already have some strips that that way to go, the ones I have can be cut to length so can at least tweak the brightness too.

You can buy dimmable ones but would have to test to see if the dimmer switch can go low enought due to lower power consumpion

Thats Euro for you. Bunch of cowboys and rather deal with the devil than those guys

But now they have merged with Andrew Pages don't get a choice sometimes :(

If you're replacing them with strips put them in aluminium profile, it looks factory fitted ?

Good idea, was going to stick them to some ally plate to act as a heatsink but will see what I have lying around

You made those or bought them?

Fitted something similar looking over our cooker/sink, touch sensative and dimmable. £18 off Amazon I think. Work great

I bought the channel on ebay you can get end caps and either clear or frosted lid. Also bought a 5m roll of LEDs, cut them to length and stuck them in it. You have to countersink the screws you screw it up with.

Cheers for those links, that channel looks good, May upgrade some strips I put in the wardrobe to look more professional

Or buy a few of these:

Saw those but they still need screwing up and won't be quite flat to the surface with the clip and screw head behind. Plus they might wobble a bit depending on how tight the clip is ?

Everything I do needs to look factory fitted or I don't bother ??

Me too. I don't use them either. On the other hand 3M DS tape never lets go & screws aren't needed either. (y)
