We live in Leicestershire and are the proud owners of Monty the motor home.
We don't want travel more the 150 miles each way.
A hard standing pitch with electrics, heated toilet and shower block and of course dog friendly.
We like walking and exploring old towns.
Our ideal site would be within 1/2 a mile of a town with pubs within walking distance of the site (dog friendly of course)

What about Tewkesbury and I think it’s a cmhc site.

Devizes just on your travel limit, good site, good cycling/walking, Ditto Bristol gun wharf always fully booked from the year before but the waiting list goes down quickly. not sure about dogs? on the sites

Warwick CAMC site, near town centre and several pubs. Regular buses to Coventry, Leamington and Stratford. Good walks around race course and canal, river and parks nearby.

Devizes has a dog field but dogs have to be kept on leads, I understand. It's alongside the Kennet and Avon canal and you can walk into Devizes in one direction (about 40-50 minutes there are buses also) In the opposite direction 25-30 minutes will bring you to the Barge pub.

There is the 3 Magpies pub right next to the site, too.

This is a lovely site, around 100 miles from you, by the canal, very nice pub on the doorstep and within walking distance of Slimbridge Wetland Centre.

As long as there is a pub near by and it's dog friendly a health farm is fine

As far away from home as possible :LOL:

I would love to go to Morocco but just don't have the time between to do it between Christmas and New Year!!

Oops sorry for the misleading info
Tbh @Silver-Fox with the recent installation of hardstandings and all weather pitches at Tewkesbury club site we expected it to go all year.
Can't understand the reason for installing them and still close Oct/Nov as they were always fully booked when it was just grass.

We were at Devizes site last week, great location. Pub just outside entrance dog friendly. (Three magpies) walk along the canal either way, nice flight of locks (cain flight) or the other way towards another pub (Barge inn). Happy travels. (y)

Cherry Hinton C&MC site near Cambridge. Walks in the old Quarry next door. Bus to Cambridge.
Broadway C&MC site, nice site with the village only a short walk away. Lots of footpaths and great views. Lots of dog friendly shops and nice shops anyway. We spent a fortune there! ( this is the one I would recommend)
Bath Chew Valley, affiliated C&MC site, dog walk on site and local footpaths, they were putting Christmas decs up last week when we were there. Car hire on site, bus to Bath.

You need to be booking very soon though, the good sites that are open over Christmas will get booked early.

Ludlow, there’s a site within walking distance open all the year round.
