Just starting to plan my route etc for next spring`s european trip.
We hope to start at "Caen" heading down to "Tours" then "Clermont Ferrand" onto "Lyon" onto "Torino" (Italy).. We shall be stopping a few nights here ane there, no hurry, got two or three months to do the trip in.
This is where we are not sure of at the moment,, we are going from "Lyon" through "Chambery" on the A43 (E70) through to "Rivoli" (Torino, Italy..)
There are two roads crossing into Italy and both are mountainous,, has any body done this road in the middle of March in a big MH,, mine will be a 5er,, and am I likely to come across inclement weather ie snow & ice ? Or should I plan an alternative route ?
Or am I totally nut`s ? for even thinking about it,
