Any good stops between Newton stewart and Kirkcudbright? Like a lively pub to walk to and other moto

I have stayed on the Car Park near the river at Newton Stewart and on Dee Walk at Kircudbright but nowhere in between. Nice area though.

Thank you. Kirkcudbright was really quiet as raining so moving on to try Dalbeattie now

If you go a bit further to New Abbey. You can park on the Sweetheart Abbey Car Park. There is a pub in village or..
Into Dumfries and down to Glencaple to the MH Parking there, again a pub very near plus a newly reopened restaurant. See below...
