There is a huge amount of musical talent within the Funster community. I could start naming them, but I know full well I will miss someone out and I don't want to upset anyone! Suffice to say there are a lot.

By some sort of weird coincidence I lived next door to his Grandparents (from his Mums side) until I was 14, I used to call his Grandmother Aunty Bob growing up, I think her name was Roberta but her Husband called her Bobby, so Aunty Bob she wasI'm a massive Gary Numan / Tubeway Army fan
The original Funster band back in 2012 started by myself and my ex, Barrie.

Here's one I did recently if anyone is interested. I'm a massive Gary Numan / Tubeway Army fan. In fact we went in May to see the 45th Replicas / Pleasure Principle Anniversary tour and it was excellent. I wrote this as a bit of a nod to Gary and that 79/80 era which was often about the rise of the machines etc. Gary was quite prophetic with the advances and worries about AI perhaps.
Don't get me wrong. Im not a technophobe after several decades working in IT but the story of this song is all about it getting into the wrong hands. The Numan sound was deliberate.
I like that. I loved Gary Numan .
Your tune is like a Numan/Ossie vocal![]()
So just thought I would update this thread. After our four month tour I'm back in the home studio (well my old office) trying to record some of the stuff I did while away I penned on my phone and pratting about with a toy guitar. Funny how they turn out. Not always as you thought they would. Two so far in the couple of weeks we have been back. One is some more nonsense about machines taking over the world (bit early Numan / Early Cure ish) and the other is very dark and possibly a bit controversial. I wrote it in the aftermath of the dreadful Southport murders whilst watching the boats sail away at Burgh Island in South Devon.
Happy to hear any opinions from anyone, good or bad. Virtual rotten tomatoes also welcome.
Although the 'genre', if that is the right word, is not really 'my cup of tea', the quality of the production, the performance and the overall effect of each of those numbers is really good.
There must be some quite decent software involved in the production of those videos, and a fair bit of imagination.
My efforts are more Middle of the road', and nowhere near as imaginative.

I play bass but usually carry my Irish whistles with me when away in the MH, just in case…they’re a bit more portable!
And the difference recorded in the man cave studioWith ten zillion guitars, bass, reverb and echo and a half decent mic. Actually. I prefer the one above.
Video shamelessly nicked off the internet.
Good old Fogerty and Credence !
Big fan of that sort of stuff. Well done, mate !
Still on the weather front,........no pedals, no FX, just an old EKO acoustic and a Fender Precision bass, with some audio tweaks from Cubase.
This could get to be a mutual admiration society.
Yeah it could!
Another good one. Did you write that?
This was one of my favourites I wrote myself. Bit dark though. I don't think I was in a good place at the time. I often use drum loops but much of the heavy manic drumming in this was just freestyle using the midi keyboard as a drum pad.
I think it's a bit Pink Floyd ISH.
Thanks. Drums are always a pia. I was quite pleased with them on that one though.I like the song, you clearly have talent. But (there is always a but) the drum track doesn't do the song any favours, it's too intrusive. I'm sure you could re-do it much better than that. So there's a challenge for you![]()

Try something much more upbeat then. One extreme to the other. If you don't like the song, the dancers are worth watching. I vet and interview each one.
Very good, maybe you should go on BGT?
