Antenna questions?

So, my roof looks like this - over cab bed means bulbous type front. Sides have an edging trim which is approx 10cm high.

My questions are;

If I was to install a 4G roof antenna like this

Would it need clearance away from the sides/would the raised sides affect its ability? (If I was to position at the side, say above a cupboard)

Also, what does 'with legs' mean?
I've seen it referred to internet with legs.

Thinking of getting a mifi & external antenna.
Any suggestions or alternatives?

so long as the raised sides are not metal, the mimo antenae should be fine near the edge.
