Introducing my wife Ann and myself [Bill] we live in the Highlands of Scotland-seriously looking to take up a motorhome and start touring as we are soon to retire.

We are total novices to the scene yet looking forward to buying a motor home. Having said that there are so many to choose from-though taking our time looking at various models.

Cheers

On and off for many years.
Hello and welcome from The Borders.

We are returning to motorhoming and, like you are looking for a van that will suit.

If you've never been motorhoming before can i suggest that you hire a van for a week to see if you like the lifestyle? Then hire the model you are thinking about buying to ensure it does what you want it to and there are no nasty surprises.

Looking forward to hearing from you on the forum.

Hi welcome to fun, you have made the right start finding this web site, read as much as you can, ask as many questions as you need, if you can get to one of the big motorhome shows like Peterborough, you would be able to see many makes and layouts all in one place, and so narrow your search down.

You live in a wonderful part of the world to use a motorhome, Jim's book on buying a motorhome is worthwhile if you are starting off, good luck from sunny Morocco.

I,m a newbe too...

Me and my hubby are currently motorhomining in an American RV. Although we love the space, we have decided to change to a Eurovan. We feel that we are ready to sacrifice comfort for freedom. We like to tour around and feel that buying a Eurovan will open up a whole new world for us. Our American Rv is 40 foot long and limits us on the roads we travel and the sites we visit. As we have two large dogs, we are looking at a tag axle.. possibly the Swift Kontiki with an overhead bed. But your choice is exactly as the other members are telling you...whatever suits your needs, and a very good bit of advice was given to me by a dealer .. it has to FEEL right. And when you find the right van for you, you will know.
Heres to happy times ahead...

Hi and welcome to the fun, seeing as no one has mentioned it yet I would recommend you get a copy of the motorhome buyers guide off of Jim, it will be invaluable in your search and is sure to save you the cost of the book:thumb::thumb: Enjoy.

Welcome from another newbie. We are from the other end of the UK near Folkestone.

Took a while to get the van we wanted. Set a budget of what we wanted to pay rather than what we could afford. šŸ˜‰

So far one night away as a tester and another tonight at a CMC site before big bang to Devon next week...
