Our shower tray has only one waste in one corner. In the diagonally opposite corner there is a depression that looks as though a second waste could have been fitted if the converter hadn't been so tight. Any ideas on how easy it would be to cut a hole in the shower tray and fit a second waste? Or would this best be left alone?

Best left alone in my opinion, does it drain ok as it is.
There’s enough to go wrong with motorhomes without creating problems.
I know what you mean. But it only drains properly if we are slightly nose down to the front.

To add a drain you need to know exactly how the existing drain is fitted: is the back-nut under the floor and visible or is it between the shower base and the floor and not visible? If the latter you cannot add another drain without removing the shower tray.

I can see the existing back-nut. But there is an MDF panel under the second drain position that would have to be cut. It looks doable.

Just check the obvious - that you have room somewhere to link the drains and, assuming the link will be under the van, that the hole will be accessible. If you can link them indoors no worries.

Just use a rubber squegee or flannel to get the last bit of water out.
One mistake fitting a second waste and the cost will rocket with a new shower tray.... Not worth the trouble.

It should work, it's all inside a locker, access not too bad. My main concern is drilling through the bottom of the shower tray?

Just use the correct size hole cutter. Don't be tempted to cut on a low speed or it'll snag - high speed but push gently. It really is very easy to do.

Sounds simple. 😆 Is it likely to crack?
