As title says. He is expected to announce changes of some red areas to green and ease travel restrictions in terms of distance etc. Its not quite all over yet but hopefully the light at the French end of the channel tunnel will be switched on soon...

Is there a reliable English language French news site for these announcements. I struggle to correctly interpret French news sites and can't access the usual funster forum areas as I'm on the naughty step.

France 24 and in fact is a much better news channel than any others in my opinion .
I thought any announcements are this evening at 8pm

another vote for france24 - you can also watch it on youtube and via its ownwebsite - its a really good site - i watch it via the firestick, just download the app (search through the news apps and you should find it)

bits of the speech are being leaked on France24 now ... possibility of an orange zone for paris, everywhere else green. 100 km travel distance to be 'aggregated', whatever that means, or it might just be lost in translation ...

Youre good to go as you can just say youre traversing to Spain ! Probably legitimately in about 15 minutes !

10 people in public areas limitations
Inside areas no groups
He said something about masks which i presume he meant on public transport

Preparation des vacances was on the slide but not translated,,,, but it means what???

we also need them to allow 'non essential' travel for foreign nationals IF we are staying in France, as you said, travelling to Spain may AND i repeat MAY appear be allowed but it needs to be confirmed and the correct travel documents may still be required ...

no real new news coming through just yet, they are explaining the new app and how it will work

YES ALL CAMPSITES OPEN FROM 2ND JUNE - 15th June is the decision day for borders to open for freedom of travel

specifical mention of countries who impose 'restrictions' - they will be reciprocated !!!

so at the moment travel from UK into France is not looking good until after 15th June and even then it looks like there may be restrictions applied dependant on what the UK impose.

100km travel distance will no longer be enforced, though they ask for travel to be limited, but the caveat above needs to be taken into account. so its looking as though french citizens or those in France have freedom of movement and can use campsites but there has not been any comment on whether we can go over as tourists, due to borders being closed for anything other than essential travel until a decision has been made with other European countries on 15th June

Our 16th June booking is still looking 'good' ...

Very happy for all those who are already on the French territory , they are now able to travel a bit further!

Hoping to meet up with who ever feels like coming. Of course I'm working during the week , but you don't need me to roam about and visit the area. I'm free during the week end as sports will not be allowed, except may be tennis and archery.
I was thinking of a little get together ... with big tables to keep social distancing...! If you like the idea....@spitfire Munchie dunnah01 elamessa or anyone else indeed!

We'd be the very first to rock up for a socially distant glass of wine. We're not that far away now we can get beyond the 100km wall so would love to meet you and any other funsters. If you can find a date we can most definitely find a way to get there

I ve had to miss a bit.
I m a tad confused about the 8th June. Can i travel to France to stay in France on the 8th ? or can travel I to France in order to travel to belgium (assuming that Belgium allow us in) on the 8th ?
Or is the 15th we can travel ?
