Must be a slack news day... Err hang on (n)
No, must be true

Finished fitting our Thatcham cab deadlocks the other day  only way the magpies will get in our cab is to crawl over the bed (& us)
Mind you if they're gassing again we wouldn't wake up anyway. :ROFLMAO:

Weve slept through someone breaking in the van thru the windows, they are very quiet, wife woke up and took a while to work out what was going on and then entered Rotweiller mode and scared the Sh*t out of him and he legged it through the cab door. Was rummaging through the wifes bag at the time so took that with him.
They are very good

Seasoned travellers werent expecting to get robbed there

Those 3 statements dont seem to go well together.
Exactly. I was in Marsellle two weeks ago and boy is it rough...... dumb as rocks for staying in a lorry park there. What a romantic setting; Is that their idea of living the dream?

im a not so newbie
When I was helping @The Dotties with a bit of work on their van.
We went to my local builders merchant where we met someone that had been gassed and robbed, no really he was serious.

We just looked at each other and it was difficult not to burst out laughing but that would of been rude :)

They don't mention feeling groggy the next morning, just thought they must have been gassed, lol

That's the give away for me. They woke, noticed their bags had been moved to the front and tipped out and the glove box was open and just thought it was a bit odd ??? and then just left:cautious:

I'm still convinced these stories are all about people being dog tired after long stressful driving days, up early, busier than usual, more miles than usual and perhaps an odd beer thrown in. On those days people could remove my teeth and i wouldn't stir, let alone twist a screwdriver in a dodgy lock and take a few things.

I'm sure there's been a odd few instances of it happening over the years but i'd bet 99% of those reported are not real, even if the victims think they are.

"It is the view of the Royal College of Anaesthetists that it would not be possible to render someone unconscious by blowing ether, chloroform or any of the currently used volatile anaesthetic agents, through the window of a motor-home without their knowledge, even if they were sleeping at the time........If there was a totally safe, odourless, potent, cheap anaesthetic agent available to thieves for this purpose it is likely the medical profession would know about it and be investigating its use in anaesthetic practice."

But we did extract a lot of urine shortly afterwards:LOL:

Not in any way shape or form is it possible to gas someone in this way and that’s from an anaesthetic consultant motorhome owner.

"Nothing seemed to be missing"? You'd check you had your credit cards, and you would check the stash of coins before committing to travelling on and having to pay at a toll machine.
Yup, something definitely 'fishy' about the story ... who on earth would ignore the fact that they had been broken into and had their contents of bags strewn around and NOT check they still had their dosh etc? I suspect that it was a bit of an excuse to get an article in print to 'advertise' his photos etc and their blog ...

They weren’t robbed. They were allegedly burgled, but I think they made it up to claim on their insurance to pay the tow charges.
