Im a Newbie
Wonder if anyone has ideas please ??
Alde 3020 heating works fine on electric.
But if i try on gas or both together. Panel comes up with "Gas Failure"
I have plenty of gas, tried switching over onto known full bottle. I also have refillable.
Lit hobs no prob's, also switched to gas on fridge again fine.
Tried several times to no avail.
Last time i used the Moho it was fine on gas. (About 4 weeks ago)
Van is only just 1 year old.
Thanks
Dave.

As it’s under warranty I’d speak direct to Alde in the UK rather than your dealer.
Alde offer a 3 year warranty cover

I did try ringing Alde but they are closed for Xmas.

Most common issue is just air in the line.
Try it then leave for a bit. Try again.. etc. I know you have stated you have done that but really just try a few more times.
Burning off a bit of gas on the hob may help.

Gas failure normally occurs if the has has been switched off and the pipe to the boiler is empty.
Try switching the Alde off and on again

Ensure the isolation gas tap supplying the boiler is not in the 'off 'position

I have checked the main isolation tap which is under one of the seats. That is definately in the on position. Is there likely to be another tap very close to the boiler ?? If so there is no chance it has been turned off.
Access to my boiler is not the best inside the cupboard under the sink.

Could be regulator failure, often hob & fridge will still work but not enough gas flow for a heater.

I'm with the lack of gas in the pipe after a lay-off. My fridge can take 3/4 attempts before it'll run on gas.

As suggested, try switching it off and back on again a few times. If it doesn't go after 5 tries, there's something else the matter.

I don’t have direct experience with Alde. But with propex, after 3 failed attempts to ignite, priming the pipe, It will lock out the gas.
It’s a re set procedure in the manual, to let the gas flow after a purge attempt. Usually is switch from on to: off, on,off, on, within 5 sec. If timing is wrong start again.

We recently ran out of gas, and quite rightly, the Alde panel reported a gas problem. After filling up with gas, the panel continued to report a problem, even though hob, etc all working OK. Thus the Alde unit wouldn't fire up on gas. We had to switch off the 12 volt to the panel to clear the error message. Then all fired up as normal

Do you have secumotion? have you pushed the button in?

Otherwise sounds like Reg Failure

Hi thanks for getting back to me.
This makes sense now.
If you don't mind where did you disconnect the 12v from ?
Was it from the back of the control panel.
Thanks
Dave.

When I had a similar problem the guy at Alde told me to disconnect the 12v supply from the boiler for 15secs. This is what he called a "hard reset"
The connection is under a flip up cover on the top of the boiler.

Thanks. My boiler is a b.....ard to get at. It's under the sink in a cupboard right at the back. Do I have to disconnect all the power first to do this. Is there only one plug to take out and put back. Not very good with electrics !

Are both gas bottles open?

No one is a refillable that is full and open.
The other is my spare Calor Lite also full. But they are separate.

Just switched off 12 volt at the panel. This cleared the error

Can you get to the 12v fuse on the EC unit? removing then replacing worth trying

Thanks Vin
Yes tried taking the fuse out of the EC unit, put back in again, still no joy.

How did you clear the error??

This was originally posted in December 2019 before Covid so hopefully got sorted by Maggie and Raddie
