I’m taking a big chance here with this question but spurred on by the knowledge and experience of Funsters, I thought, why not.
I’m mobile but have little lung function so get puffed out very quickly. Moving a double bed which has flat pad feet rather than castors the other day I really struggled.
Is there a thing that would make such a job easier? Levitation would be ideal but I’m open to other suggestions.

Pay someone else to do it.

You can get little dolly things, but you still have to lift on and off.
Or even just ask a neighbour to give you a hand in exchange for a cuppa. I would certainly help someone do something like this if I was asked.

What Diabalo said,or slide it on small bits of carpet. Better still find some strong yoof who wants to earn a tenner.

Depends what you are moving it over. If carpet then you want something slippery like plastic, but if across wood floor, or laminate then a dust sheet and drag. When installing dishwashers and washing machines I spray the floor with glass cleaner first, so the feet slide, then it evaporates and leaves floor dry.

Some great ideas and some generous offers of help, thank you. I think the Ezprotekt sliders look ideal or possibly those with the lever handle, though they have wheels and carpet might not be suitable.
