Hi,
Changed vans and kept a matched pair of carbon gel batteries less than one year old.
New (to me) van has 2 AGM batteries fitted which could be up to 3 years old.
The carbon gel I think are slightly higher power than the AGM as well as newer.
Both sets similar size and will fit. But may require different charging regimes.
Is it a no brained to go with the newer carbon gels?

I looked into the same carbon gel batteries as you have, but didn't go ahead as the max charge is rated at 20 amps. So if your new van has 20 amp or less chargers or if you are happy that 2 together would be ok for a higher rated charger, then to me it would be a no brainer.

I went for gel because I've only got one battery and gels can be discharged to 20% without damage.
