We are weight uprating and need to change our Continental Campers 215/70 15 (109).
We have come to the final choice between Michelin Agilis Campers or Continental 4season in 225/70 15, both 112 index. The Contis are slightly dearer and according to their Technical Databook suitable for 'mobile homes'. Which to choose?

Now I know nothing technical about tyres but I do know on our Agilis Tyres the walls cracked and the tyres were no where near worn, and that has been mentioned on here quite a few times that the wall crack.

We changed them a couple of months ago and not for Aguilis.

You can also get proper recommendations on pressure from Continental. :)

I had a 3 litre Sprinter with 4 season on. God they were noisy.

I swapped them for Michelin Agilis Alpin Winter. I have run two Sprinter motorhomes on them and have them on our Fiat Motorhome and my Sprinter Traveliner. Swear by them. Never had sidewall issues with them

I don't rate Camping tyres. Indeed, the original Michelin had dangerously poor grip.

If you look on the Dark side (motorhomefa**ts). You will find a lot of tyre wheel posts by me.

Great place for reviews.

If it was me I would go for the Conti's, shame they only do the Alpine rated 4 season in 16" the 15" is only M&S rated. Always found coni's a softer ride than Michelins.

The fact that Continental have chosen to call the the newer version 4season instead of FourSeason causes a lot of confusion. It did when I was trying to get a price.
The 15” 4season is Alpine and M&S rated, as is the new Winter and Winter 2. I’m still not 100% sure I’ve been given the right price by our local tyre company Savoy. They quoted £115 fitted.

I just double checked the Fouy Season 2 which has the Alpine rating is only avalible in 16". The Four Season is available in 15" but it is not Alpine rated.

That's true but I'm taliking about the 4season not the FourSeason.

Blimey Conti's website is a nightmare, you can't find that tyre by navigating the site but if you do a Google search with that name it comes up with a Conti web page. I wonder if it is because it is being replaced with the "Four Season" if so I'd get some quick as it ticks all the boxes.

Different size to yours, but I run on Conti Vanco Winter 2 which are load-rated at 112. Previously I had standard Vanco 2; have been happy with both but would choose the Winter version again for year-round use.

Could be worth emailing Conti and ask them what's what as it's impossible to find out whats going on on their website.

I've had contis side walls crack and blow out but mainly due to age I now use Agilis campers and like them why? Because they are quieter.

Worst tyres we ever had for traction and grip was Hymer original fit continental summer tyres, couldn't get off even damp grass with them and this was on a Mrrc Hymer rear wheel drive.
Changed to Conti vanco winter2 and there was no stopping the van, what a difference.

Dont limit your choice. After going on a tyre comparison website I ended up ordering Kleber Transalp 2 tyres, superb tyres, snowflake marked, use them all year round, sunny Mediterranean roads and Austrian mountains, quiet, and about €100 per corner. I had 6 sent from Germany ! Have done about 8000km on them and they're still like new.

Very confusing, this Continental tyre choice. Just been to the local tyre fitting depot (Savoy) with a full print out from the Continental website and from 'my tyres' to ensure I get exactly the right tyre. They will have to ring me on Monday as they can't find them on their systems, and couldn't confirm the ones they found had both M&S and Alpine/Snowflake. Looks like they will have to get them direct from Continental.
I've been in the situation before when you get "This is the equivalent sir' or "this is the replacement" because that's what they have.
