Just insured our new Globecar Campscout for £380 including unlimited mileage, full UK and EU breakdown, £200 total excess - it's only £20 more than it would be for our 3 year old Globecar and they've mirrored the NCD.

Why is it that if you have say nine years ncb when you go with a company and stay with them for three years, they don’t increase the ncb to12?

My insurance with Caravan guard is due in 2 weeks time. Last year it was £388 (first motorhome insurance) for a Hobby.
If not the same or lower this year, will try Comfort or Safeguard. Mike .

I' don't meet your 40's criteria but the mrs does and we re both on the policy from comfort (never been able to beat their quotes), this is our 2nd MH (its a Dethleffs) its insured value is high (its not quite 2 years old) the renewal has just come through its gone up £11 to £427 - which is miles cheaper than I can get elsewhere - that includes european breakdown, NCD protection and legal costs.
Only stipulation was from new, because of value we had to have CAT 6 alarm, which is basically an independent token which has to be in the vehicle when we travel, if its not the vehicle can be immobilised remotely - if they could ever find it on GPS.
