Hi Everybody
Hope someone can help. We have electric dropdown beds which are fantastic, however, my uncle who is 97 struggles to get down when in bed onto the pull out step to use the toilet which is not safe. We have had to improvise and make the seating area into a makeshift bed, that said it's not wide enough and we cannot think of anything to make it all one level like a single bed. We already have a large footstool to make the area bigger but this doesn't fill the area for a decent sized area for him to sleep on. It's hard to describe the situation, my uncle says he's fine as it is but it's not. We have the idea of a thick mattress topper, but don't want the problem of having another foot stool to fill in the gap as this is our lounge area and obviously space is of the premium. Can anyone suggest any ideas please.
