We had it in Devon through the night and this morning,,,,, early afternoon it brightened up and is quite nice now, a bit chilly.. wind has dropped to nil..

So the next couple of hours and it should move North East... (y)

Do I need to take a big run up off the A34 to make sure I don't get bogged down when I arrive tomorrow ?
Keep an eye out for diversions, the m4/a34 slip roads have been closed for the last w/e this one and next

Now a year !
Just so you don't feel too bad take sympathy for those around here in Spain - it is getting colder over the next day or so. Sub twenty degrees! Dreadful.
How will we cope?

Ooo we were in in Seville yesterday 34 degrees , going up to 40 degrees in Córdoba .
We are just melting, still might have got a reason to get a little ebike- cycling at 32 degrees in Medina and it was not nice !
Still we live near Newbury so hope it gets better- we ordered our Hobby van there just last year, and it's been fun all the way
Hope you have a great time anyway funsters

Weather forecast looks promising for today and tomorrow, let's keep our fingers crossed. I'm off to go and get the van in about an hour, then got to pick up a couple of bits (wife and daughter) :D

Still we live near Newbury

We have to take our van back to the dealers soon and would like to have a look around the area (cycled along the river a couple of years ago). Any pointers as to where we could stay, Por favour :coolest::coolest:

Are you staying in Newbury? If you are not then I suggest Abingdon you can park a motorhome in town and stay the night very cheaply in the large car park, they actually have a cordoned off area and I think you pay by phone.
If that is not suitable Peachcroft farm, also in Abingdon is a CL site. Abingdon is on the river with easy access to Oxford and the motorhome stop is just on the bridge. It is a very easy drive to Newbury down the A35 about 15 miles?
Obviously I am biased as I live there!
Oxford also has a camping and caravaning club site.
If theses are not suitable will put my thinking cap on

Thank you LC. We have no set plans. The idea was that as we have to take the M.H. back to the dealer for some work, we would make the most of it and stay somewhere around the area to do a little cycling. We have, in the past stayed around Reading and cycled to Newbury (via the canal, not easy !!). So.... just seeking 'local advice'. :wondering::wondering:

For several reasons we were not able to attend Newbury this year, one of the venues we most enjoy. May I sincerely thank all of you who pointed out that the weather was awful and any other negative points you could raise, we both feel so much better now.(y)
