Can anyone help, looking for a company that will provide insurance on my Citroen C1 with an A-Frame fitted. Scope of use will be day to day SD&P with no commuting and towing behind our motorhome when touring. Ideally comprehensive insurance for all of the usage.

Try NFU, they understand A-frames & toads. I have been with them for many years and insure all my vehicles on one policy.

From memory they class an A framed car as a trailer and cover it WHILE HITCHED for £1000 on the van insurance.
I had both van and car insured with NFU so there was no argument in the event of a claim.

Just getting an ok for the modification does not necessarily mean it is comprehensively covered whilst being towed. The third party risk is covered by the towing vehicle but I accept that there probably won’t be a payout for accident damage to the car. I have both covered with the same insurer on a combined policy (NFU) in the hope they might be generous if it happened.

£1000 for own damage to toad while hitched with NFU.
Same cover for ALL trailers except caravans and livestock trailers.
