A bit of privacy required….

I wonder how much they can see. Quite possibly very little.

(It may be that they are looking in your general direction but can't see much inside the van. Which may explain behaviour that could otherwise seem a bit rude.)
No, I tested that theory when I was chatting with them - I can see straight into my van from their pitch.

The guy seems quite brazen -whereas the others in their party are sitting side-on, he is totally facing me.

Not particularly worried but would like to find a happy solution.

If the weather is good why aren’t you sitting in your folding chairs with your back towards them?
I’m not a fan of sitting outside - but even less if I am looking at the toilet block 🤷‍♀️

Silly place to park🤣
That’s behind me! 🤣

This is in front of me - thunder has just started, rain soon 😀

Ask to move, the wardens there are normally helpful, I'm sure there's space, if they ask why, just mention the loo? 🤞

We have a mesh screen as well as a thermal silver screen.
Really good at giving you privacy but still seeing out. Also gives some shade protection.

My polar screen I can fold down to wherever I want and there is a mesh behind it so you can see out but peaple can’t see in. 👍🫣

Maybe he fancies you Janine? :h:

🤣

Turn your window wipers on then off at the ignition when they are at 45 degrees. Stick newspaper or some unimportant material underneath. If you have a window at the back, giving a through-view, then close the blind .

Any net or mesh will do the job well but always remember if you have a light on inside it effectively disappears. We used fabrics like sawtooth to do theatrical 'reveals'. With a light on the front you can't see through it. Take the front light off and put one on whatever is behind, and the Magic mirror or whatever comes to life.

Janine, try a sarong or charity shop scarf taped onto the bottom half of your windscreen. You could try and get clever with suction cups and bull dog clips for future trips.

I remember in our tugging days on a campsite in Italy there was a German caravan opposite us blinds never drawn and the lady was always naked. It would have been rude not to look. 🤣
Phnarr, Phnarr, as Finnbar Saunders might say

Yes, but you didn't have to use your binoculars :giggler:

A Psychiatrist may help you here…how do you know they’re looking at you??? Is that because you’re looking at them..??
Stop worrying and just get on with your life..
Hardly the kindest response to a long time and very well respected Funster is it? If you know Janine as I and many other do, you would know well that she does not need to see a psychiatrist. Genuinely one of the gentlest, helpful and nicest people you could meet. Please be kind.

Polar covers

The panel over the windscreen is attached with velcro.
This then gives you three options.
  • You can have full thermal cover
  • The privacy mesh cover
  • Or just plain glass,
All for as much or as little of the screen as you wish, depending on your light, heat, and privacy requirement at the time.

I’m afraid a small number of men are just creepy and most of us women have a very good radar for these things. I’m sure something about him in particular has made Janine uncomfortable. She happily parks up next to us lot otherwise I am sure she wouldn’t have mentioned it.

Sorry I don’t have any helpful suggestions other than closing your blind completely but then your van’s dark.
