I am currently drawing up my shopping list of things I want fitted to my van when it turns up (6m PVC) and one option which I love and use all the time on my camera is the 360 birds eye view when parking. I see a few people on here have installed 360 Camera Systems on their vans.

Can anyone recommend a company to fit? I am currently looking at <Broken link removed> and the Omni-Vue system. Anyone used the company or had problems with the Omni-Vue ?

Thanks

Phil

Had same as Martin above for about four years only issue the monitor failed, new one cost £120 and easily swapped, connection on cable under dash but could pull out easily

I had the recording version which isn’t easy to download, or very good at filming anything more than about 3m away

When we got ours David the recording wasn't available for the HD digital version but I think it is now ;)

Thanks everyone; I shall have a chat with VTech and hopefully when the van arrives get them to install.

I think one of these would really help my confidence, knowing that I could do tight manoeuvres if I needed to. But £2.5k is just too much! I've only seen that one brand sold. I guess there just isn't a lot of competition to bring down the price?

I have omniview 360 installed by trailer vision with the HD recorder.
I'm offered £150 for every successful recommendation! - willing to split.

Interesting ponder is how legal these are in Austria.

Is the recording good? It wasn’t available when we had our HD system fitted but thinking about adding it.

I have 360° cameras on my car but rarely use them. I prefer the ultrasonic sounders, then my eyes are free to do everything else.
They may increase confidence but the best way is to get out and look for yourself.
Simply trusting an image on a screen does not feel safe.

If you are OK with DIY, I would recommend one of these - SZDALOS
Very good quality cameras and records very well to sd card in 1080p, but maybe needs a bit of extra light at night if no streetlights around. Full time 12v allows 24-7 recording.
Not as sophisticated as Omnivue, but about £2000 cheaper. One on our van now 18 months old and working well.
