Last year my insurance renewal with SAGA was £303. However, they offered to fix the price for 3y although with a premium of approx £25 (from memory). After some thought, I decided not to do this.

Yesterday I got my renewal for this year: £260. Thank goodness I made the right choice. :giggle:

(I've actually got a quote for similar cover at £150 elsewhere.)

I'm on my second year for the moho and the first year on OH's car. It's worth it to reduce the hassle to every three years.

Really? It took me approximately 10 minutes to decide against going with the 3y fix and it has saved me at least £40 (probably £65). That's in the region of £250-300 per hour!

Getting revised quotes for this year took 10 minutes to confirm my selections from last year on QuoteZone, 10 minutes telling folk who ring up to send me an email quote (apart from Adrian Flux who I told need to sort out their algorithms because no sensible person who owns an Aclass would want windscreen cover capped at £1000!), and 15 minutes talking to "Megan" who quoted me £150 compared to SAGAs £260. A saving of £110 for 35 minutes work: £200 per hour!

POSSIBLY I wouldn't have saved that sort of cash BUT 35 minutes once per year for 3 years is surely worth the extra £100 which I now have in my pocket. AND if that "3y fix premium" was £25 then I've saved a further £75.
