Think I have a plan.. In early October we are doing a quick flip to meet up with some of our continental mate in Belgium..
To get to you is only an extra 50 miles or so...
Would you be willing to wait until then for collection ?
Happy to pay for it now.
In answer to @pvc
Proly the same reason as I have had about 6 genny's and flogged them .. just never gets used.

But this time I have a solid use for getting one.. Need power in the middle of a field to run some ham radio gear

I belong to the S G B ( serial Genny Buyers )
Stands up:
'Hello, my name is Jaws, I am a serial genny buyer'

We're not going to be around until between mid Sept and 16th October - would that work for you?

Promise not to laugh if I tell you?
Oh I do promise sir.
Reason I ask is I have toyed with the idea of a genny as our favourite CL is no EHU but we seem to manage on solar. Might be useful when the Russians stop our gas supplies etc and we go back to the power cut days!
Do tell.
Regards

When we bought our first we decided that we needed a generator.
Looked on line for a suitcase generator, the pics made it look very compact, ideal for the tiny garage which was under the seats in the van.

When it arrived Mrs C was very keen to see my new toy.

Opened up the locker ready to slide it into its new home, then disaster struck!

It was bigger than it looked in the pic and wouldn’t fit.

Mrs C wasn’t best pleased to say the least.

So it’s been living in my shed ever since

I could have done with that to run the lighting rig at Lymington, don't suppose we could lend it:rolleyes:

Can’t sell it as unused then could I?

You could invest the modest sum of £100, use it for the meet, then sell it afterwards ?

You might even make a tidy profit...

If i wanted it i'd do the run ( i mean anywhere but i am very close to east sussex ) which would make it easy for me if i wanted it and find a reasonable place close by for the weekend or whatever - but make a trip out of it you can then forget fuel cost

Please don't be disappointed John, if you don't get the required response, after declaring the item to be couriered. They can be quite strict regarding anything to do with fuels, batteries, and solvents, etc.

Cheers,

Jock. :)

I know Jock ;)
Before I retired I shipped batteries , engines, oils, and even acid all over the place .... If I had needed a courier I do have folk who will pick up and deliver almost anything ( though it aint a cheap game )
Back in the day I was one of those people.. I have delivered everything from a 1/2 ton plough attachment ( it went in the back of a Renault 12 !!! ), a rubber o ring to a gas platform, and the scariest ( though it was quite safe really ) a large lead lined box with a lump of uranium 232 in it... Police escort for the last 20 miles on that run ! )
