I’ve had 3 landrovers and 2 Nissans and towed a horse trailer for 20 years. Now that has all changed , my husband passed away unexpectedly in 2019 swiftly followed by my first and last horse aged 36 and i had her since she was 4 , so my life changed in the same year.
Then i bought a motorhome, not new, 2 years old but very nice.
I’ve been driving it now for nearly 6 years , not loads as my family have also used it, now they have a caravan as it’s too small for them.
I’m now using it more and just been to a craft rally at Woodside field , old Sodbury, Bristol which was brilliant!
From there i went down to Newquay in Cornwall to a THS at Porth Beach. Fab facilities and great location.
After a week there i travelled back and stayed at Tewksbury for a few days then set off this morning back home.
No problems at all a bit of a delay in Birmingham and then joining the M6 but otherwise a good run until about 50 yards from my storage yard the following happened.
A wagon had hit the overhead motorway bridge with its load and deposited onto the road! My storage yard is literally left after the bridge!
There was a little bus in the middle of the road in front of me and he was the first vehicle before the issue and i was the second.
A police van arrived on the other side of the incident , I did think it was an accident so i decided i had room to turn and go.
However during my manoeuvre i was very cautious as i really did not want to back into the little bus so over cautious maybe. My reversing camera isn’t that brilliant and it was bright sunlight and i forget its there sometimes so yes maybe i was making a meal of it but better safe than sorry.
Then this smart arse 4 x4 guy got out and saying you’ve loads of room bla de bla!
I wished I’d wacked him on the head as i drove past f…ing trumped up git! What’s wrong with a smile ???
