Do they just sound Russian or have you asked where they are from?

I think I've seen quite a few other nationalities behave like that.
So have I but the Russians seem to be the worst!

Mate of mines brother was the number 2 on one of the Abramovich yachts and he said they were terrible people and treated staff worse than dogs, he sold the yacht to a Texan Bloke and the crew went with it, different enjoyable job after that….

I have to feel sorry for the staff of all hotels in all areas of the world the Russians treat them like dirt, no manners whatsoever, especially in Egypt.
I flew on a RIA/Aeroflot flight from Heathrow to Moscow to Kuala Lumpur way back in 1991, return from Bangkok to Heathrow (eventually) one week later, I saw a guy smashed in the face many times by an on board leather jacketed security guy for putting his feet up on the fire exit door!
I will never forget that experience or the attitude to us "westerners" to & from the UK.
I could tell you a lot more but I cant be bothered, needless to say never again will I fly with a Russian Airline ever again, the Boeing Plane we flew out on from Moscow to KL crashed whilst I was over there! all on board killed whilst I was travelling in Malaysia. Lack of Boing Maintenance regular service procedures was the cause apparently.
Lucky or what!

My sister went to an all inclusive resort to Morocco last October and said it was full of Russians, horrible arrogant people, and treat staff like sh#t….🤬🤬

As has already been suggested there’s plenty of other nationalities like this. After working in retail and hospitality most of my life I’m pretty convinced that the British are some of the worst, definitely a big percentage still think we are the Empire that rules the world. Gets embarrassing at times.

As regards Brits abroad - in our experience many are extremely polite, some are boorish or arrogant, the rest just proceed as normal.

We have met a lot of residents from other countries who regard the British as “good” Tourists but they tend to live away from the all-inclusive, full English breakfast, all singing and all dancing resorts.

We’re in Egypt. Lot of Russian speaking tourists here. The ones who I’ve encountered claim to be from Armenia.
I don’t think my there are flights to here from Armenia.
One every other day comes in from Moscow

A sample of one Russian and one American doesn't really prove a lot!. I'm pretty sure that wealthy British people vary enormously in how they treat people it's the reason things like Bournville and Port sunlight stand out in how poor people were treated in the past. We went to an all inclusive hotel in Cuba there it was Canadians largely they seemed to treat the staff well but im sure there would be a few who thought they were superior because largely that's what treating others badly is about.

in Abu Dhabi.

Waitress serving was from the Ukraine. Russians came in to dine.

Waitress went over to serve and they chatted together for 10 mins or so.

The waitress told me she knew then from before the war as regular customers.

I'm pretty sure if meeting in a neutral country the same would be true of people from most wars.

There always is..it's a cheeky little playground for a lot of them.

My friends are russian /english..they have got to the stage where they think twice before sayingtheir russian surname here in the uk

At least the Russians outside of Russia, many of whom have no intention of going back anytime soon, are avoiding the draft and are not supporting the current regime.

On that basis I'd like to see millions of Russians vote with their feet and leave the country for the time being.

Unfortunately Russian history has long shown they don't care about their own people, as the exodus of the inteligencia has happened several times recently.
1880's, 1917, 1920's 1930's 1950's, 1990's, 2020's
Hence why you find Russian surnames (or Anglicised versions of them) all over the world.

I worked with a Chinese girl in Hong Kong with an unusual name, her grandparents were White Russians who left in the 1920's and the end of the road for them was Hong Kong.
