Knocked this up for the wife.... She won't know until Christmas!

It used to be a bit of plywood I had lying around and beech skirting board.

There's no way on earth your wife will want to use that to chop on as its too lovely ... make it into a small table instead ... you've got plenty of time!

I wouldn’t think that the ply will withstand a lot of chopping especially edge on? It looks very nice though.?

It is indeed ply edge on. Hardened up with tung oil which is food safe. Probably end up as a serving or cheese board.

Very nice, But if I gave that to my wife for Xmas I think A&E would have a major removal job on their hands Xmas Day
