My thoughts have turned (early I know) to kitting out my PVC for trips abroad next year, the 12v endless breeze fan is on the short list, can you recommend other 12v fans that you have or used that have been worth the money.
I am thinking possibly 2 one in the sitting area another over the fixed bed.

We have the Roadpro one which is working quite well here in Spain, useful at night as we have the seats turned around for the next 6 months.

Never tried it on the D batteries, just have it wired to the leisure one.

Endless Breeze gets people excited, but what about this kind of thing?

We have the PK Green fan and it has been brilliant over the last couple of months keeping our dogs cool in the south of France. Half the price of the endless breeze fans and just as good.

There are no fans to compare with an Endless Breeze !!

Yes it does look to be a very good fan, it looks to pull and push air in a larger space so needs to be fee standing to get the full benefit from it, were in some smaller vans free standing is not always the best solution and directing the air is more important, as in Mikeco insterlation.

That PK Green one looks good to me - must be a similar size to the endless breeze.

I have an endless breeze fan and I have to say I think they're overrated. The build quality of them is poor - I had to take mine apart and balance it (by gluing washers to the "light" point of the blade) as it shook so badly. Works well now but very, very expensive for what it is.

We have a small van (Hymer Van 562 Silverline) and free standing was not an option. So I installed a chrome ring and hang the fan using a hook made from a tent peg. The end of the hook that fits in the ring benefits from a rubber sleeve to minimise vibration noise.

I've heard of a bad batch of these fans with vibration problems, but mine is brilliant. You do have to remember that they are American, so build quality will not be the best! I believe that the company has been taken over by Dometic, so we'll have to see whether they make changes.

I agree. I also have 6" USB fans, Dunelm I think, they are great at pushing a gentle quiet breeze over the body through the night.
Regards

We use these, £10 each from Dunelm's. Performed well in the 30 odd degree heat while on the Mosel trip in August.

We have an Endless Breeze but for us it gets in the way and it to bloody noisy and soon to be up for sale.

Endless breeze..........it works, most of the cheaper stuff doesn’t.

Something else tick off, went for the endless breeze at the finnish, being a small van everything needs thinking out (the garage is full of things not thought out :D) l think I have come up with a place it will cause least inconvenience, and I agree it does what it says on the box, don't think I will ever need setting 3

I've never had an endless breeze but I've seen and heard them in other folks vans
Couldn't be bothered with the racket

Completely silent, I suspect because it's not moving much air.
EB shifts a LOT of air around and therefore has a good cooling effect. Inescapable fact that shifting air is noisey.
Only irritatingly noisey on fastest setting and very quiet on one. In the heat of Italy ours stayed on all night and wouldn't have wanted to be without it.

Yeah that's why I have fixed it right at the back, on setting 1 will be fine back there, and if really hot a lot more options, may try one of those you have on the dash board (y)

Endlessbreeze..

When read the rave reviews and saw the price, I bit the bullet and bought one..

I expected a quality fan, not a cheap plastic case with a noise off balance fan..

there are plenty of other 12v options. Road Pro do a few... no idea what they are like

there are also plenty of cheap USB mini fans on the market

nowadays I just use a 12 inch 240v oscillating desk fan, about £15 .. running off a small inverter or EHU when available.

your money.. your choice..

I had one on the dash and one hung above the hab door on my last van with door open and fly screen over it gave a nice breeze in the door

Have to agree. Also quite noisy, certainly wouldn't want to use it at night.
