Due to the recent purchase of the Hymer my PVC is up for grabs. The build was well documented on FUN and since purchase several extras have been fitted. Its 2012 registered with recent MOT and has just had a full service. 250 watts of solar, charging 330 amps of batteries. Aberspacher duel top water and habitation heating, to cut down on gas consumption. Sterling inverter/charger (pure sine wave). Full size AES fridge freezer. Microwave (runs from inverter). Snipe sat dome. Avtex TV. Half leather upholstery. Towbar.
Recently returned from a round trip to Istanbul with no issues other than a cracked windscreen which is being replaced today. You can wild camp in this van indefinitely without hookup, and its small enough to park anywhere.
£20k and its yours, I know, I know, am just too bloody generous.

Just to add, this van was built to a specification rarely found in a panel van and only found in the most expensive A class vans. Due to other commitments I have little time to sit by the computer answering a host of questions, so its best for anyone genuinely interested to send a PM for my mobile phone number and I will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

Unable to find anything on FUN regarding the build. I must not be searching for the correct key words or poster. A link or steer in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks. K

Many thanks.

I have seen this van conversion and other work by Terry and have to say always very impressive.

This van is simply full of Goodie's not normally found in a PVC (y)I built it for myself using all sorts of top quality gear (y) Nothing was skimped on and anyone looking for a PVC with a similar spec (I have never seen one with a spec close to it ) would be paying well over 30k ....Its at a bargain price ;) grab it quickly (y) before Dave realises its too cheap :)

I may know someone who could be interested.
Whats the mileage?
What is the weight? As they are over 70 and cant drive heavier than 3500kg.

I am sure Dave @Snowbird won't mind me answering ...3.500kg so 70yrs no problem... It drives like a car returning 30 plus mpg ....I only sold it because I got the Itineo A Class and one had to go and I knew I could always make another for myself

Without going out in the rain its been down to Istanbul and back since last MOT. It was serviced when it came back and has not moved since. It only needs servicing every 20000 miles according to the book, but I still do it at 10000 with full synthetic oil. I only found out at last service that its a chain driven cam, so none of that rubber band changing nonsense.

No taker's Dave?

Have had more pressing things to do since bringing the Hymer back to be honest. Have not advertised it anywhere as yet but hopefully I can get something done this next week. I would not be selling it other than am now in the two bird club again and can only drive one at once. It was purchased to low fly back and forth to the apartment in Bulgaria and Spain but since a nice man crossed my palm with a bundle of 500 Emu notes we are back long terming with the Hymer. I had to do something with those bad boy notes .

It's a bargain, if you do have to advertise outside of this forum start add at least 6k on. If someone beats you down a little then you will both be be happy.

Wow.gif
Has @Welsh girl seen this? She's looking for a PVC. If I were looking for one I'd be VERY tempted.

Thanks Rob and Val.Not sure on this one as maybe insurance won't cover me . I need to part x as well.

Why would the insurance not cover you.
Because it's a self build. They ask if it has been modified when I renew, I'll have to ring them

@Welsh girl - it was built by HB autocampers and is classified as a motorcaravan on the logbook.
Try AIB insurance, @Terry has no issues insuring any of his vehicles/self builds with them.
I have driven this PVC and it really does drive lovely. It's very high spec and also has the internal fresh water tank :)

Ok. Thanks for that I'll look into it. Comfort is the only insurance I can use as they do full time.

That's good news to me. I thought I was stuck to insuring with just one company. Thanks for the info.

There must be many thousands of self builds on the roads today and no problems getting insurance.

My sons got his insured as a motorhome and he hasn't even finished building it yet(y)(y):)

There's a thread called full time insurance by @Nigel&Debbie
Comfort seemed only true fulltiming policy.

I've decided after thought and advice to wait for a while to change to a PVC, wait for the spring to see if any bargains to be had. Thanks for all the comments and advice folks.:thanks5:
