Currently staying at Brecon. The local pub had this, Black Dragon 7.2 abv. A bit strong for me. I settled on something I couldn't pronounce and it was good.
 I’ve ordered a pint of that by mistake as it’s often next to draft ales.
Luckily it’s a decent cider. 👀
I only had one tho…

Edit: sorry, forgot the Brecon mention. Are you a neighbour? We’re at Cambrian Cruisers CL :wondering:

Yep, Landlord is a decent pint (y)

Anther decent pint (y)
But If HSB is on then typically ESB is on and that’s my fave Fulers beer. Which used to be London Pride.
Though Pride is often available around the world. Well, airports bars 🤔
ahh London Pride.

When I was living overseas and being paid to travel around Asia in the pointy end of a plane wherever possible I would use BA as they always had a stash of London Pride onboard.

Sorry no pics, but the favourite local ale I was drinking pints of during our recent trip to the Cotswolds is called Shagweaver. Perfect drink with a plate of Evesham Vale Beef Pie (plum gravy). Yum.

Since 2008, with a gap between 2013 and 2018.
We had a pub stopover a few weeks ago and I was disappointed that Harvey's best was not on. I grudgingly ordered Longman best. Wow! It has rocketed to the top of my favourite list. If you like proper bitter you'll love Longman Best

Love an airport bar at 0500 o'clock 😄
Cheers🍻

In Lidl today @ £2.99 - taste is reminiscent of the Affligem Blonde often on draught in France.

My beer of the week is “pluckin' in the bushes” - 6.1% ABV
It’s a Blackberry & Apple sour ale made by our local brewery Delphic Brewing Co.
It’s quite a different beer style to my usual so I’ll only have the two free ones mrskevenh & I earned foraging the fruit to make it tho 😳
The apple makes it sweeter than the ale type “sour” suggests
And I’ll keep one of the cans as our names are on the can 😎

Purity’s UBU is a decent beer.
It was my fave beer at a summer music festival. Other Purity beers were not to my taste but luckily I discovered UBU.

For this “beer of the week” thread I found some in Waitrose and I’ve rekindled my summer 🤪🍻

Edit. It’s darker than their other craftier beers. Nutty and some sweetness in taste.

Going tomorrow, might get a couple to try.

I think you might be disappointed. I went back the next day and grabbed the last two cases in our local branch, and I’ve not seen it on the shelves since then.

Only had it on draught when visiting London (the Royal Oak in Highams Park) - the local Lidl keeps me well supplied with bottles and at a bargain price too!

Yes Blond Leffe is good, but the dark is even better.:thumb: There are more than 250 different beers overhere in Belgium. Most of them of the strong side. (Mort Subite is only 15%, stronger than wine :shout:)
Hopeless to stay sober in Belgium :Eeek:
Was in Brugge a few weeks ago , there is a wall with 1000 beers , I thought they were all Belgian 🤔

Since May 05 (Ex Tuggers).
Currently in Vitoria Gasteiz heading south, and was on this last night at Bar Basajuan, just along from the MH Aire.

A wonderfully fruity, citrusy and zesty Double IPA, and possibly the best of it's kind I have ever experienced. (y) I kept getting tones of orange above the hops.

Tonight, I am trying this malty Schwarzbeir, but I am not overly impressed, as I'm not getting tones of much at all. Maybe because it is served to bl@@dy cold. :(

Cheers,

Jock. :)
