Xmas in the Canaries

Arrived in Adeje yesterday (not in the camper), weather a lovely warm 23 degrees. Staying at Jardines de Nivaria, part of the Adrian hotels group and it’s superb.
Here for Xmas and New Year, trying not to think of my slowly discharging vehicle battery on the camper!

Lovely...was at las dalias in adeje a few weeks ago and almost went back there this week. Decided on cold damp North Wales in van...just sat in tweed mill for lunch and am still loving it .

Costs over £1000 to fly on uk Airlines.
Lots of folk here fly to Germany then get ferry to uk. Only 60€ each way for dog.

Just booked our jaunt in feb in lanzarote - need the heat

Our daughter has been very inconsiderate and gone to Lanzagrotty for Christmas, which means that instead of going to her for Christmas Day we are staying at home and having Grandson, there might be turkey and trimmings as well.

So i'd get the ferry to germany ( or drive) then get a flight with the dog into the canaries?

Yup. Small dogs can travel in cabin with owner.

Ditto, used to be an annual trip for winter sun on my birthday in January. It hasn’t happened in recent years due to Covid, but booked Playa Blanca (my favourite) for 3 weeks time.

Weve just come home from fuertaventura ,planes delayed both ways, outward by over a day,delayed coming home ,then kicked off train on way to sheffield at stockport cos train wasnt stopping at sheffield,
no more manchest airport and no more rail travel for me…… not fit for purpose . Hotel and weather were lovely tho
