Would you drive over another vans EHU.Just got back from a three month trip. And on four occasions i had vans drive over my leads two drove over them on tarmac and two on grass. On three occasions i was walking back to our van no attempt to tap on the door and ask me to unplug and reconnect to just drove over them.I would never do the same.My Q is this the norm for E.U vanners three being German and one Dutch. And no i never mentioned the war or 1966 i just played the theme tune from Dads Army on loop on my D.V.D while i went out all day

On the Aire at Pouance the hookup point is the other side of the Aire so if you want to hookup and not have your lead driven over you have to be moving it a lot, nobody seems to worry.(And it’s on concrete)

its defo not normal and can lead to issues with crushed cable.

Had a tugger do the same to me on a site in Cornwall, which really p’d me off, so had a quiet chat and not happened again.

Blooming foreigners 🤣😇😇

The French never seem to care about running leads across car parks. I suppose that they figure the post trip will just switch it off.

I really cannot see a problem. each individual cable core will have its own plastic/rubber sleeve and all three will be covered by the plastic/rubber outer sleeve. Even if they are squashed in concrete (they wouldn't be on grass)for the millisecond it takes for a tyre to roll over them they will not be damaged Drive over mine as much as you want, I wont be running out to have a quite, or loud chat.

Normal on Aires where people can't do without EHU they run the cable across a road.

If you don't want anyone to run across your cable make sure you don't put it where they can, not their problem if you put it across a road.

Yeah I would, if you don't want it run over don't put it where other vans are going.

If someone’s cable is across the campsite access road or aire, I will run over it. I wouldn’t think to ask, I don’t think I would damage it. Mind you, I wouldn’t put mine across a road, would rather go without.

Wouldn't have thought this would be an issue with a narrow gauge 240V cable to a plug? Unless it caused the plug to detach or in some way the cable would get caught on the van and would be pulled along? Can't see how that would happen... but in this age of health&safety!!!

In Germany one year all the nearest posts were “taken” by other vans, so I had to use one across the road. I channelled the gravel as best I could and laid the cable in that. I eeeked every time someone drove over it, but after two days, no damage at all. 👍🏻
