This came with our 2nd hand Motorhome, we don't have a toad and have no plans to get one. This looks brand new, maybe used a couple of times... Are these worth anything on their own?

Would appreciate your views please so I can decide if it's going on here for sale or an auction site, or in the skip, as I just seem to be lugging it around office/shed/office as it's in the way.

Thanks.

definitely worth a few quid. Can't see if all the towing parts are there, then just need the car itself adapted. Got to be worth a couple of hundred

Has a limited value on eBay, as it is needs expensive electric breaking system installed in the car to meet braking requirements.

Just been looking for a second hand car-a-tow frame to match the old bracket on our car. Sadly this won't work

Should be sold as an unbraked A frame requiring American style Brake Buddy or RVi 2 braking system, a breakaway switch and car adaptation to make complete and useable
Personaly i would take best offer, it is after all quite a bit short of a useable Aframe.
My guess Under £100
I should add its a very good starting point for anyone considering a DIY project foe a lightweight car.

Thanks folks, understand the caveats; no harm in listing and see how it goes though.

These systems are very expensive around £2500 and but you only have a small part of it and I would imagine the missing parts would be expensive.
I think I would contact the original owner, to see if they still have the car.

I have one of these frames fitted to our tow car so easy to hitch up with the telescopic arms.
The other part is a subframe fitted to the car plus a servo brake unit.

Believe me, some wouldn't hesitate to use it 'as is'.
I've seen a few unbraked A frames.... Including one on a Reliant Robin.
How they fitted the fixings to the car is anyone's guess.

Now SOLD as a direct replacement to an existing but broken unit - thank you.
