I couldn't get an appointment for worming treatment at La Mailleraie sur Seine vets for today, so I booked an appointment with the vets at Bourg Achard, a few miles south.
Excellent service, friendly, English speaking, large carpark and plenty of room on the adjacent road (not a through road) outside for even the largest motorhomes.
Intermache nearby for shopping.
Great service for 22.30 euro, own table supplied.
Thoroughly recommend.

Please check your AHC (if that is what you have). 3 of us were at this vets just over a week ago, and unfortunately a mistake was made when recording the microchip for one of the dogs. Also we used our own tablets but for one of the dogs the makeup of the tablet wasn’t acceptable and didn’t contain a specific ingredient. This wasn’t realised until we were at Pet passport check-in and resulted in one of the group having to stay behind and have the worming treatment re-done, and delayed return.
Not having a ‘pop’ at the vet - we can all make mistakes, but we would have expected the vet to know about the necessary ingredients.

Bourg Achard and La Mailleraye vets are part of the same group and the vets go from one to the other as needed. I was at Mailleraye in June with Daisy dog and a very pleasant new young lady vet was very patient with wrapping the Drontal tablet in pâté for her. She then went through with me to check which pages of the Passport needed to be filled in and signed. It is a French Passport that I obtained in Arras 2 years ago.

To be fair, if you supplied your own tablets I imagine the vet would assume you knew what you were doing and that you had brought the correct tablets with you. No doubt the French vet would be fully aware of the ingredients in worming tablets that they provide themselves.

The above is why I don’t provide my own worming tablet as the powers that be change the tablet every now & then!

We’ve used Bourg Achard vet because has better time slots than Mailleraye which only seem to have appointments late afternoon.

Shrimp - a lesson we have learnt! Have decided not to use our own tablets in future. Frankly surprised that vets allow you to take your own, as the storage of said tablets etc can’t be guaranteed by the vets.
We usually go to Mailleraye for the necessary treatment but no appointments were available within our time frame. Always enjoyed a last night there and having a pizza!

We are the other way, and so will continue to take our own tablets, as we find that most vets aren’t as up to date as we are on the required drugs. They are not specialists in what is required to travel to UK.
