Im wondering if anyone has a set of vent covers lying around that they don't use?

Most people are of the opinion they make the fridge run crap in winter so they dont use them .....myself included.

But!

My current van has a 240v only fridge in it so the vents are no longer required so id like to fit vent covers to reduce any draughts .

The ones i need are like this
And measure 44cm x 13cm and 370cm x 13cm

My thoughts would be take the grills off and cover the back with white duct tape, nobody is going to see it anyway

Never thought of that. Is there anything I need to worry about, doing that?

Just fitted my lower winter cover now my fridge is compressor powered 👌
There is still 1 louver open so I stuck a strip of grey perspex over it. Same with the top one but I've left that off for summer use.

Ive already done that on the inside ...i just duct taped over the vents and wall after putting a bit cardboard in . But would like to fit covers on outside too just for belt and braces

Best to fit some extra fixings those turnbuckles have a habit of coming undone when driving. I even lost a vent cover on the drive in gale force winds.

I thought if you are still using the fridge there should be at least one Louvre top and bottom for venting🤔

Its just a domestic household 240v fridge in my van now so i don't need the vents. Theres plenty other ventilation in the van anyway
