Please could anyone recommend a place I could get this rethreaded correctly. I've looked at the Youtube videos and they dont make sense to me (wrong blind? missed stages?) At the moment it's put on upside down with a cable tie to keep it open, which does, but I can't help wanting to get it sorted. Thanks.

Appreciating that the blind is upside down...so...looking at the two loose cords by the aluminium finger bar, one should slip over a tiny plastic lug to the right of the bar, and the other over the tiny plastic lug to the left of the bar..........assuming both these lugs haven't snapped off.

Removal of the two side covers may assist access, but I managed to do both without removal, using a longish blunt tool, so as to not damage the cords.

Twice now my cords have come off, and both times it was because I raised the blind from one edge, rather than from the middle. Lesson learnt. ;)

Good luck with it. (y)

Jock. :)

I’ll have a go at that thanks. I re-attached the cords to the two screws at the top (as the video on YouTube suggested) but it still has some slack in it. I don’t like to take things apart as they tend not to go back together again. 🤔

The lugs are given to breaking off. I've just repaired one of my roof blinds for the second time. Slightly different design to the photo so unable to confirm exact layout of your strings. Can't quite understand why they have to make the threading so complex.

Is this thread any help?

That looks very promising, thank you. I think the fault is slightly different, but I’m going to attempt to follow their guide.

edit - removed an irrelevant post. Sorry!

Very helpful, all sorted now thank you. It is important to reattach the cords so there is no play in them, rather than attaching the ends of the cods to the lugs at the top.
