Got flashed near Ulm on a dual carriageway and didn’t pay my road toll in Austria but paid my 11 euros at the Brennan pass . Am I now a hardened criminal and top of europols most wanted list ?

I got flashed in an area where they decrease the speed limit at night, by a Lärmschutz camera (I think) in Germany, heard nothing

They won’t take me alivebeen through Austria twice now on non toll and tolls or 4 times if you count returning and not had anything throughthink the method is to go really fast and they cannot flash you

The Netherlands: I never speed there. Got pulled over by police in 1989 for speeding on the Rotterdam ring, trying to get to the Rotterdam - Hull ferry. Took me to the police station, locked me up for 2 hours, fined me 400 Guilders, then let me go with a cheery wave. Missed the ferry and had to wait another 24 hours for the next one.

I remember top gear testing a gatzo camera once, they had to exceed 180mph before it didnt register, even then i think it took a picture, but the car wasn't in shot.

The Germans aren’t very good at speed cameras, they installed the early ones with film, one which was put on a road next to the high speed rail track and yes it used all the film up in the first few hours, all with trains

Expect the Germans to send you a nice little photo in about 2 months, the Austrians will hound you to death if they think they have picked up a toll jumper......I got a 300€ fine a few years ago because the camera didn`t pick up the ticket, I even had proof of purchase, but to no avail, They said pay or don´t come through Austria. I had to pay, it´s next door and I can´t go around.

I get at least 2 Blitz´s a year in Germany, usually the drop from 130 to 80 through a tunnel of 120 to 60 on a bend, which is their usual trick......
