Hi all. Travelling down from Glasgow to Holyhead via M6 and looking for somewhere around halfway to grab some sleep for the night - anybody any suggestions please? Many thanks. Andy

Woodford lane garstang come of the m6 at junction 33 head south on the a6 for about 3 or miles Woodford Lane is on the left hand side plenty of trucks and campers over night there. In the morning just head south on the a6 to join the m6 at junction 32 . You have not gone out of your way at all as the a6 runs parallel to m6 . You also pass a large fish and chip shop with enough room to pull up on and eat in or take away.

Andy there is a large D shaped lay-by used by truckers when you come off M6 at Penrith and go left for around a mile. I think it might be junction 37 but can't remember.

Friends have The Stork Inn, at Condor Green near Lancaster, not much out of your way and they are happy for you to park up on their carpark if you have a drink. Depending on the size of your van I know a couple of wild spots overlooking Morecambe Bay and feel free to pm me if you want directions.

Another option is the Asda carpark, Lancaster. There are often vans parked up overnight, not least because of the close proximity to the ferry terminal for the Isle of Man. It is a 24 hour store so loos and shopping on hand and cafe in the morning. Only about 2/3 miles from junction 34.

Apologies if you wanted this info for last night!!
