Why can't we find bio laundry liquid in Spain?

Nothing we've seen screams bio on the packaging, and every shop assistant we've asked has responded with the Spanish equivalent of "Nah mate, we don't have that". Is it banned here?

The word you are looking for in the list of Ingredients is, 'Enzyme'

Just like, famously the french don't have a word for 'Entrepreneur', (according to former Pres. Bush)
the Spanish don't seem to have a word for Bio.

A lot of food I noticed on the continent is labelled as Bio, maybe it has a different meaning to the one were familiar with ?
We have Bio yoghurt, but they seem to have Bio everything

Bizarre. You'd have thought there would be an equivalent of some sort slapped across the front of the package.

Never really thought about it, but it could be that the term "Bio" doesn't really mean what it implies. "Bio" detergents contain stain dissolving enzymes; so most countries just lable them as enzyme containing detergents. Using an abbreviation of "Biological" is arguably incorrect in the UK.
