Looking to fit an additional twin USB socket behind the TV to power a Firestick and would like to keep it the same as the existing - Adria Compact Supreme - which *think* are CBE products?Pics of some already in place below but I presume I can piggy back off of the 12v supply to the adjacent ciggy socket in the first phots?

It's a Berker TV socket. You can get 12v-5v USB Berker if you want it to look the same. Yes you could tap into the existing one for power but as said does your TV not have a spare USB socket to power the firestick?

To backup above. Most TVs now will power a FS, earlier TVs had lower supply so were a bit hit and miss.
The sockets are Berker, lots of suppliers. Be aware there are now some higher powered 3amp dual usb sockets available. Lots of people still selling older 1 and 2amp versions.

Thanks to all. For some reason the LG 24” Smart TV I’ve just put in has all the usual inputs, including a USB, but strangely no USB out!

How would it power a device like a memory stick if it doesn't output 5v? Never heard of an in or out USB. Could be wrong though.

Dunno. It’s clearly shown on the schematic as an input, but I’ll give it a try and see if it does power it up.

laptop and computer USB and all in/out. Stick a memory stick in the USB to save a file and then later stick back in to re-load it

You only need the 5v supply it will have that.

Yay, thanks all it works!

I think what threw me earlier was that the Mission USB power unit for the Firestick wasn’t initially powering it up when inserted into the TV USB, so I plugged it in via a ciggy socket/USB adapter and it worked immediately. I then assumed (wrongly as it transpires!) that the TV USB didn’t have enough ‘oomph’ (tech term ;) ) to run it. Looking at the Mission literature it does suggest charging the unit up before use, presumably to put something into whatever internal battery or capacitor it uses to buffer the supply. It’s now all working perfectly off of the 12v to 19v laptop power converter plugged into the ciggy socket and TV and saved me another job to do this week. Note to self: read the instructions (yeah right!).

I don't use one of those mission things, just a simple usb cable. Works on several TVs at home and in the van.

I along with a few others experienced a problem initially booting up the firestick from the USB socket on our Avtex Tv, it came up wit the message "Insufficient power" so taking the advice from the more learned on here, I used the mains lead to the firestick to complete the initial set up and get it working.
I then plugged it into The Avtex TV USB as before and it worked. (y) As also pointed out there is an in line power booster which simply stores enough current for when The Firestick may need a surge, but I haven't needed that yet.
