Having fitted a new on board gas bbq point ( bullfinch) my newish Charbroil bbq wont work from the bbq point.
So which bbq will work off on board bbq point?

Surely there are people on here who can help with your dilemma re regulators and connections? I think Basildog is a gas expert (apologies if wrong) With a couple of pictures and his knowledge you could get it to work cos its a fab cooking device. As a direct answer to your question though I use the Napoleon travel bbq. Big, heavy but cooks great. Even did a whole Turkey at Christmas in it.

Jockaneezer has offered to make me a fitting im just covering all bases. I am waiting for Charbroil to reply before i decide what to do.

Have the Weber Q1000
You can use this with the small gas canisters but I have also made up a q/h so I can plug it into my van gas point.
Have cooked for up to 8 on this little BBQ and it fits in my gas locker out of the way😁

Having ditched out Cadac, we abs love our George Foreman gas BBQ
At just over £100 it’s a proper bbq and includes a gas pipe and regulator if needed.
We removed the regulator and connect it direct to our gas bbq point

George Foreman GFSBBQ1 Portable Gas BBQ with Integrated Thermostat, Black, Lightweight & Compact, Steel Body & Automatic Ignition Amazon product ASIN B07F3166QZ

Worst bit about the Webber is it’s physical size. It doesn’t pack up.

What pressure does the MoHo onboard regulator provide - 30 or 37 mb?

Posting up the exact model / type you have might help , my suspicion is you have bought one with a built in regulator?
I modified a Webber one the other day for a customer that was experiencing similar problems .
Is this like yours ?

We certainly do have some knowledge when it comes to gas I hope 😂
Although these days seeing what some people are telling others to do on some other forums / Facebook I tend to keep my head down ⚠️

Everything we have put on the cadac, has stuck like the “proverbial” to a blanket!

Maybe some FUN top tips needed…..
Best place for a Cadac is in a skip 👍😂
I bought this a few years ago and it’s been abused ( left outside for a couple of winters)
Not bad for the money and being Costco can be returned at anytime go any reason .

If you buy their very expensive connector
No need to buy from Weber bought ours from a camping shop just needs the fitting to go into a gas tube just take the tube on and take it with you

Does anyone bother to check which gas/pressure the BBQ they are thinking of buying is designed to run on - and if it’s compatible with their onboard MoHo regulator?

Examples from manufacturers published data (which should be on the appliance data plate):

I3+ - 28-30 / 37 mbar (butane 28-30mb & propane 37mbar)

I3B/P - 30 mbar / 2.8 kPa (butane & propane 30mbar)

The wrong match - an I3+ BBQ running on propane from a 30mbar regulator - just might not provide the temperature range expected (which seems to be a somewhat common occurrence in lower ambient temperatures ;)).

Its a Charbroil x200 that runs off canisters. I googled it and it can be used with propane so had outside gas point fitted but it wont light.
It connects to patio gas bottles and works but i dont want to cart a bottle about.

No i didnt check and how would i know to check im not a gas engineer. Think manufacturers should be highlighting this info.

We use a Cadac2-COOK PRO DELUXE, not a true bbq but it has a double burner gas ring and comes with a grill/griddle plate for steaks, burgers, sausages etc. Way more versatile than a true bbq and works fine on the external gas point.

You may want to consider a plancha, the one linked to has a separate regulator so just change the hose for one that connects to your external gas point.
