I have used park4night very successfully in France, but is there a specific app which is best for the Stellplatz sites?

Thanks,

Not specific but I am normally a S4S man, but was looking at Germany and then looked at the best apps for Germany and in terms of reviews and up to date information campercontact won hands down for Germany.

The Stellplatz App works for me, have used it for 5-6 years now.....download from the Play Store.

None of the Apps are perfect, stellplatz come and go, people have differing expectations re: cost, amenities etc, for me they are a crash stop before moving on, or a day stop while we explore, basically a worry free place to stop.

Some of the best Stellplatz in Germany are attached to campsites. Costs less than the campsite and often not bookable so can be a space hen there is none on the site. Often use of campsite showers is allowed too.
One of the best we found was in Bavaria Roby2008. Trip extract from Southern Germany in resources.
“We found a lovely ACSI site at Inzell. Camping Lindlbauer CC 14925.
We had tried 2 other places finding both full, so we were pleased to find that this site had a stellplatz by reception with EHU and water and waste dumps for 15€. You were only allowed to pitch up after 5pm so it meant that arriving in the evening could guarantee a space. Not only that but the full facilities of the campsite free to use. There was a large amenities building fully heated, spacious shower cubicles which included the sink and socket area in them, and a laundry with washer and dryers for 3€ each. A book exchange also proved fruitful .

The Chiemgau region is very nice, the Inzell site is only 45/50 minutes from home but worth it to know when we want an escape from home place...👍

We used a mix of park4night, search for sites and just Google maps.

Hi - we plan to stay there while visiting family nearby. We have visited the steelworks - found it interesting. How was it to stay there?

We are here now and it's fantastic. Visit during the day and again at night when illuminated. Lots of space to camp over night. Huge area at the very back but some nice little corners mid way through the park

Brilliant - no issues overnight with car gatherings?

There was a couple of cars for a short period but it's at the large area at the back. You can see the skid marks. Everyone camps in the other areas which are fine. Police visited quite often too.

Park4Night is all you need.
The best 10€ you'll ever spend on a motorhome
It's good I use it as well as the others.. but lots of places it doesn't show.

I know - but it can't unless someone enters it.
We came past one just 10 minutes ago in Germany that doesn't seem to be on it
You do sometimes have be very specific and selective in your search to get some of them.
I love it because it's gotten us out of trouble so many times when we were getting desperate.
