Where's the sun?

Have to stay on the uk this year for various health reasons do left home on the 29th April. Traveller down from Lancaster in various hops and are now in Falmouth which is lovely and interesting.
But. Here are are again on our second day looking at the rain yet again!
It's been variously wet, drizzly overcast and always cold. A few days of some sun just a few. FED UP!

My brother has been in Cyprus this last week complaining bitterly about the 40c temperatures that meet him off the aircraft. We live in the temperate south east which is absolutely perrrrfic. No complaints.....

That's the thing. It's been sunny ish in a lot of places we've been. And cold. I suppose I'm missing the steady sun we had when travelling around Europe. Its pouring here yet again!

Been a lovely day down here in Girvan, we've been sat out most of the afternoon trying not to get burned! Ayr was stonkingly hot on Saturday and Sunday was very good too, had very little rain since coming up to Scotland 11 days ago and although it's been breezy at times it's not been that cold.

Just had a night of rain here in Panjas, SW France, now stopped. The garden needed it. Has been quite hot till now, tbh I found it too hot when we got here, such a change from the north. it's very comfortable now. Sorry! A bit.

Mix of sun, rain and wind here in Falmouth. High of 16 promised. So better than yesterday anyway.

We have returned from a 4 weeks trip up the East side of Scotland calling at Alnwick, Aberdour, and all the way up to Dunnet Head then return taking over a week. We had a really mixed time with the weather from sitting out in glorious sunshine to driving through torrential rain. We did enjoy it but in the end cut our trip short due to the weather. Our kids did say the weather in Nottingham was much the same.
Not sure what is happening but certainly the worst weather I can remember recently in Spring.
I do remember Snow in June in the past though.

We are away for a few days in the Dordogne and it is chucking it down at the mo BUT going back home to the Charente Maritime just south of the Vendee for the weekend and 30 degrees is forecast. Enjoy!
