How do these damn things adjust? I've got 12.6V going in and 12.6V going out. Maybe I bought the wrong thing. Should I not be able to adjust the voltage going out. I've got two tiny screws at the top of the photo. Screwing either of them in or out has no effect.

One should be for amps and the other for volts, I have found them not to be that reliable and the small pots brake very easy.

I bought similar from eBay for AC voltage control. All it did was trip my consumer unit ! Good job it was only a couple of quid and I reused it's heatsink on another project !

Usual rubbish display ...the top line of the 0 is out...12.5U
For a few Bob extra they could fit a reliable LCD display.
Or is it hard to display a V and they've gone for a U instead?

That's possible but still shoddy and cheap crap
What do you expect for the price, having been using one for a few years they work very well.

Didn’t you look at the manual?
TBF, mine came with a German instruction leaflet.
To hand I’ve got: -

Let me know if that helps. I’m fairly sure I didn’t stop at that in my effort to make my own manual 🤔

Many thanks. You must have the deluxe model c/w manual. 😆

I'm sure this is really dumb, but how do you adjust amps with no load? I didn't want to connect load in case the current is way too high. Will an ammeter tell me what's being output?

I suppose you can just wind the current one fully in, it's for limiting the current to, errrr things that need it limiting like LEDs 👍

I'm not familiar with the device, but why not turn the amps knob anti clockwise (zero amps) and then start increasing it with the device plugged in ? I'm sure whatever you want to run off it, it will just draw what current it needs anyway ?

I didn't realise that good job I was using the output for a 5v supply otherwise I would have blown up my Mifi connected to the USB port.
I am going to have to have a play now to see if the USB voltage does change,

With a 7 line per digit display it would need another 4 lines to create a 'V' which is stupid especially as people know what it means ... well most anyway! :giggle:

I did scan my German "instructions" and then do an OCR on that result, and then a Google translate on that
I'll attach the result of that but I found out what I needed to know with out checking for translation errors, etc.

The usage of "DC - DC Page 1 English.txt" is a bit limited as 1 thru 13 are for labels on a picture of the DC-DC box of tricks that didn't get through the OCR :p edit: but look at the 3rd attachment ;)
