Took my RV for MOT this morning "passed".

Noticed all the stock from Freedom Motorhomes is gone and premises was locked up, it was all there 2 days ago.

I'd heard they were struggling but this happened almost overnight.

I have heard a few rumours, but you never know how many of these are spread by competitors:Smile: I did hear they were moving though, so maybe that's the answer.

Sadly, this will be a familiar story this year. I came across another one Stephens Motorhomes of Wakefield, had my e-mail bounced and the telephone is giving me 'number unobtainable' although their web site is still working.

Is there anyone in Wakefield on this forum who can confirm?

They moved a month or so ago to a new premises by Staverton airport and that's where they've disappeared from.

Maybe they have taken every van they have to the NEC? Or maybe they are the first UK RV dealer casualty. They had recently started selling Europeans well.

hi
i was in their premesis yesterday looking at the rv's
they must have moved, they are near glouster airport on the glouster old road to cheltenham.
easyest way is off m5 junction 11 go towards cheltenham,
first left at first roundabout (glouster rd) about 1.5 miles on the left.
had three big american rv's and a few smaller ones.

live long and prosper:Laughing::Rofl1:

I do hope as many business as possible can survive.

Moving twice in a few months seems serious to me.

Tough times sadly.

That's right but everything was gone at 10am this morning dissapeared overnight.

One of the biggest problems I think is that stocking plan credit limits have been cut back considerably recently plus the banks reviewing overdraft facilities.

A problem I do not have fortunately as I have neither.

Be warned if you are asked for big deposits when buying, its generally a case of trying to bolster cash flow. Sure sign of being 'rocky'

£500 as a holding deposit unless you are odering something really one off to special order.

I can confirm that they are still in business, you can ring them and they answer, they are now viewing by appointment only.

Thats good it would be a shame if they went

I agree, they were the first company I dealt with, and sold my first rv on brokerage over 10 years ago. All went smoothly and nice people to deal with
